This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

My lumix dc20 when turned on displays this battery cannot be used. Any ideas please

1) Incorrect battery, use genuine battery. 2) My Canon 400D had a similar problem. Checks showed that I had a damaged standard 18mm to 55mm lense unit, and also gave me "change battery" error message. I had a similar problem with a 70-300m lens. The camera main lense needed repairs, the Tacumar lense was not worth repairing. Have a camera specialist check your camera and more specific the main lense unit.

In the middle of taking pictures, all of a sudden my Nikon P100 will become blurry and then the Lense Error message will come up saying, "Lense Error: if the lense cap is on the camera, turn the...

Could be sand particles getting into the seams around the lens barrel, binding it up. Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to lens error problems can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some last resort troubleshooting steps that you can try that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try.

Droped Nikon COOLPIX S10, after the lense would not focus.

WITH THE CAMERA YOU HAVE , IT IS BEST TO GET ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE THE LABOR AND PARTS EXCEED THE VALUE OF THE CAMERA .
tHE NEW CAMERAS ARE OLD WITH BETTER FEATURES AND EVEN LESS MONEY .
THE LENSE BARREL ASSEMBLY IS PRETTY EXPENSIVE .

Error message 5e02

Turn on your camera, when the lense is opened, hold it till the blue screen appears, extend the lense to his maximum forcing it a little bit then when you turn off your camera, the noise won't be here. Turn on again your camera and hopes it works. I tried it on my camera, works well at the first try then again the error, i did it twice holding the lense when you turn it on, then it worked perfectly.
Hope it works for you.
P.S : my english isn't well but i hope it helps.

"Cover opened" error message

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.
