Sony Trinitron WEGA KV-XJ29M50 29" TV - Dead, LED flashes 2 times

I have the indentical tv and problem. Cost to repair was about 250.

U have a soldering iron,desoldering pump or a roll of desoldering braids,a roll of solders?Can u do basic soldering and uderstand basic electronic?FBT- the flyback transformer,the big black block of a plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to a CRT-tv picture tube.Near the big block of a plastic with a red wire with a cap hook to a CRT picture tube.Inside to the right of the FBT,there are 2 power supply ICS,those 2 ICS are dead.Replaced these 2 power supply ICS near the FBT,will solved this tv LED power light indication blinking and will have stable tv power again,and tv will work.

It's an error code. Call a Sony repair shop for an estimate.

mt sony trinitron power light is blinking from green to red twise and then pause for 3 seconds and then blinks again from green to red

6 blinks meens no horizontal and no raster check capasitor c515/c516/ jungle IC and IC206.

How many times does the timer light flash between pauses?

Check 470 uF 450 V in the power supply. I don't know if the chassis is the AE-5, but I had a similar case and the capacitor was bad.

i'd say your tv is unhappy.

unplug for 10 min..and see if that resets it.
