40 in LCD Proscan TV, Horizontal pic too wide, adj?

I have a 40 in LCD Proscan TV and the Horizontal picture is too wide to fit on the screen. Is there an ext adj for this?

I put aspect in "zoom", which just made the picture wider. There is no adjustment to the zoom setting.

No adjustment for horizontal width in the owners manual.

If you have Dish Network, the asterisk button change the TV from, Stretch, to Partial Zoom, to Zoom, to Grey Bar, and back to Normal.

You can adjust screen aspect ratio with Zoom settings to see complete picture in tv screen. Set Full Zoom option for full picture in tv screen.

Check Full Zoom settings as it fills screen in correct aspect ration.

Why does my ProScan 40" unit cut off the right and left edges of the picture? It happens in Normal mode and Wide Screen.

Back-light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.
