No image is available to view on the lcd screen canon ixus85is

On my Canon Ixus, there is a button on the back by the LCD panel marked "DISP.". This turns the LCD on and off. The reason for this function is to save battery power.

My guess would be that the program you are using in your computer is not a Canon product. If this is the case, it is possible the program may have automatically adjusted the image, red eye correction or ? thus changing the image and making it impossible for the camera to read the file.

sorry to disappoint you but there is no setting to actually have the lcd to display the image like in other compact versions

Mine too! Screen works fine in video mode as well. Love my camera and dont want to replace it (have been using the traditional viewfinder), but repair too expensive.

All ideas welcome.

Try your camera settings black and white or sepia take them off.Or just reset all your settings

Take it back to whoever TRIED to fix it.

The problem in your unit is the optical unit, you need a new one. Afeter replacement of this unit it needs to be adjust using special equipment and software.
