Hello,
I tried pushing in the little square switch (it clicked), but no luck.
The dryer is working visually; the fan's spinning, the square metal box on top of the drum is hot - but clothes do not dry.
Any ideas? - would be greatly appreciated!!
I just had a Miele tech fix this. There are several causes for this. One cause is a motor fault with the fan motor or a bad belt. Second issue is a blocked up condenser. Finally the issue is electronic and the electronic panel needs to be replaced. The electronic panel consists of small relays that can burn out.
My issue was the electronic panel.
To test a blocked up condenser, is to take the top panel off, and spin the fan motor (by hand). If you feel resistance, you have a clogged condenser which must be replaced (Always run 'Remove Fluff' cycle so this never happens after every dryer use).
To test the fan, take the connector off and 'carefully' connect to 220v to the fan motor (checking polarity). Only do this, after you reset the switch (found in the rectangle box in the middle of the Miele metalwork on top) and made sure the fan does not work automatically when a drying cycle is selected.
The most expensive repair is the eectronic module which costs £175 plus £99 Miele callout.

Hi,
we have the same problem. Miele WT945 is washing and heating up. but the drying cycle just doesn't dry.
Need to find a technical manual for repairs. I suspect the heating element is failing.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
Andree
We have exactly the same problem - fan ok, heater ok - close don't dry.
Any luck finding a tecnical manual?
