Have you checked the ports (using a phone), that the voicemail is connected to? Are the two lights on the left side of the voicemail and the one in the middle of the three on the right?

This is the forums for Avaya, I would repost in the Nortel side. BUT, i do know the CICS needs to be of the correct revision to work with CP.

A Nortel Key Service Unit, an ICS (MICS,CICS), BCM (50,100 etc), Norstar (308,616,824), an Avaya IP Office running Nortel cards, or there is another company that makes a Nortel emulation key system but I can't recall what it is right now.

Need to upload greetings to Callpilot 100. would like to upload some professionally recorded company greetings. Can it be done on this unit?


Yes, using CallPilot Manager (the CallPilot browser), you can import a *.vbk file. The CallPilot Player can convert *.wav files to *.vbk files.

CallPilot 100 Unplugged it and plugged it back


The CallPilot takes between 4 and 15 minutes (depending on software level) to boot up. After that, the lights should come on for each port connected to the telephone system. If not:
1. Check the wiring between the phone system and the CallPilot;
2. Make sure the wiring between the phone & voicemail systems is less than 50 ft. (15 meters);
3. Remove & reinsert he feature cartridge.
If still not working - the unit needs repair.

Nortel cics phone system lines remain busy and I can't call in or out. What can I do?


Reset the system. Just kill power and let stand for 10 seconds before restoring power.

If problem persists, programming might not be set correctly for the types of lines you have.

I have a callpilot 100/150 we acquired an add-on


First thing, the Call Pilot is your voicemail, not your telephone system. Your telephone system is most likely a Norstar CICs unit.

If the lines(trunks) are analog, it is the local telco provider that is handing out your caller ID.

Outgoing caller ID is not one of the features of the system for analog circuits. If you were running a PRI or BRI, then the system can hand out the caller ID. I would ask your telco provider to check the outgoing caller ID once again.
