How do you fix the ghost image (red color)?

the Lcd panels are defective
or ,the Lcd panel driver chipset is not works

It could be your cable is too long and the attenuation is too much.
Can you use the same lead that you did for the TV ?

There is dust in RGB Panel,that ghost image is actual dust.It need to clean.

sound like the convergence ics have failed

there is a lock on the projector that needs to be removed. check the manual for the code.

from [email protected] the problem is the 3 thin ribbon wires that go to the lcd have become lose,or something else open top cover 6 screws 4 on the sides 2 on top must remove dark gray plastic piece have pic if needed Oct 4th 09

Thank you for your help I visited a Sony retail outlet yesterday and they explained that to obtain sound you have to go through a sound system using the red connection because they is no sound / speakers build into the projector.

I have a similar problem with our projector. It help to reverse the output for some reason. When reversed, all horizontal banding disappears.
