Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer Logo

Every once in a while a plume of rust get injected into the washer or rinse cycle. Are their components on this washer that can develop rust for this to happen? The model # of this Whirlpool machine is LSQ9544kQO The shut off valves and the hoses have been changed, along with the water heater connections (not the water heater it self). Also I checked the fabric softener compartment and where the bleach is poured in to see if any rust was growing in those areas. In the back of the machine, I disconnected the hoses and checked the little round screens. After cleaning the screens, no rust was visable. I even layed the washer on it side to see the guts of the machine and see if any rust was growing. Everything looked good. Am I missing anything?

No depending on your citys growth rate and repair rate of the lines underground this happens to homes everyday. Another real possibility is your water heater you have not replaced. put an inline water filter on and you will be happy 2 ways no rust and better feeling longer lasting clothes

Water not filling in tub washer spins,

It sounds as if the timer has failed internally. Spinning on each setting means the motor is not reversing and that reverse function is controlled by the timer itself. It would never fill if it is stuck in spin unless you select rinse and depending on cycle it can inject water in the spin during the final rinse. If your machine does this normally see if it injects water. If it does inject water at that point I am 95 % sure your timer is the problem.

F&P washer lights on and beeps

Clogged pump stopped up drain. If the washer does not think all water was pumped out in 8 minutes then it shuts down. Slow drain is my first inclination.

Shutting down on rinse cycle

Hi this could means that you may need to replace the washing machine bearings. Once the bearings are bad, the motor overheats and it will automatically shut down after the first rinse.
