If the IT dept have blocked such website, you will not be able to bypass them, however you can try using OPERA Browser and try opening the website. it should work.
if it is banned it must be for good reason. though there are ways to circumvent the security. for doing that lot depends on what kind of firewall -- hardware or software is blocking the aceess. usually port blocking method is used.. though some use higher level protocol block access method too. if you have access to the firewall it may be easy otherwise it require port scanning and finding loopholes... would require to read up a lot on these topics.

Sir, maybe the systems admin or the people responsible for the maintenance of the systems and PCs at your place have blocked those sites for some good reason...here's my solution...try downloading and installing the program named "U89"...this program allows yout to unblock those blocked sites...
