press F2 or F8 or F10 or F11 while your ur laptop is starting.
it will automatically go to a menu, which will ask u how to start ur laptop in windows or in safe mood. then select safe mood, in safe mood u will become the administrator and u can change the password.
or u can take ur important take using usb.

Replace the keyboard. Buy one from EBay cheap.

Hi I had the same problem, i had to use a usb keyboard for a while, i updated my drivers but ended up removing then reconnecting the keyboard and so far haven't had any random "Ghost" typing & the Bluetooth has stopped turning on and off. Hi the only possible way to reset the password in the BIOS is to reset the CMOS battery. It is located in one of the panel below the sys (you must have proper expertise to do this) towards the right hand side. The battery is set on a jumper You first need to disconnect all power source i.e adaptor and battery. than remove the panels to try and locate the CMOS Battery. Remember not to tuch anything else or connect any of the cables any where else it may cause a problem for the sys and you. Once the CMOS battery is reset the BIOS password will have gone.

This could be a defective backlight caused by damaged CCF's (cold cathode flourescent lights, or a bad high voltage invertor in the laptop.

IF YOUR unit has a VGA connector, connect an external monitor and see if the machine is working. ALSO try hitting F8 repeatedly to see if you can get into SAFE MODE and it might display.

Try to determine if the machine is running and it is just a dead display.

Put a CD in and see if it flashes the activity light showing it is trying to read the directory from the CD.
