Look at MCM electronics. They have a huge line of flybacks there.. and sony is a common brand that they seem to carry.

The flyback needing replacement is the most likely cause. You can get replacement flybacks for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com the flybacks come with installation instructions on CD.

The 8 blink error indicates the flyback has failed. You can get the replacement flyback at the following link for your model sony.

Replace the Flyback transformer your correct flyback which is used in the WS510 and WT510 models is available at the following link.

8 blinks is usually the error for a bad flyback. you can get a replacement at the following link and if your not sure which one your model uses click on the sony flybacks one at a time and it will tell which model they fit. Heres the link.

that model is famous for having bad flybacks. fortunately they arent exspensive and there easy to replace. you can get a new replacement at the following link for less than 50 bucks and they give free instructions on how to install it properly.

Flat Panel televisions do not use Flybacks. CRT systems use flybacks to power the CRT.

Sony has had some CCD problems with this and other model I think it is important to contact Sony at 1-866-703-7669

First off you gotta tell us whats the right model and make as you have two listed here and both of these flybacks are avail. trough http://www.partstore.com. The parts are not listed online but get the toll free # or leave a message for them to get back to you. Now A flyback is not a user replaceable part for starters. It is soldered in and theres very high voltage inside these sets even after they are unplugged, and its not adviseable to replace a hi-voltage part in a set, unless you know the issues involved with replacing such parts.
