My AVG 8.0 says my e=mail scanner is not active, all other is active how can I make my e-mail scanner active

Some programs will not install correctly, and some will not install at all with antivirus active. Disable your AVG and try again.

It's AVG. I was having the same issue. To fix:

Open AVG

Right click where it says "Link scanner active", then open advanced settings

Uncheck where it says "Add "secure by Link-scanner" to any Facebook.

you can activate your AVG 9.0 by clicking on the activate command on the menu page of the AVG. For activating you need to have an active internet connection on your PC/Laptop + an active online trasferrable account.

go to http://free.avg.com/ww-en/homepage --> AVG9 Free is excellent and can clean and detect some very harmfull viruses which most of the paid for packages can't.

try downloading and installing AVG Removal tool

is this like skybroadband package

where you get details of your logon etc via mail
sepperate to the equiptment

if so contact the broadband supplier and ask for your
setup disc
so as long as you have the hardware and your logon access code card etc
either they can send you the disc or you can borrow a friends disc to set it all up

this actually caused me a whole lot of probs and was a real pain to get out of the computer system
there are other anti virus anti spy progs available to you

spybot search and destroy
Avast 4
ok avast and avg do the same thing but avast is active, avg you run manualy at other times

optimisers:- periform ccleaner, periform recuva
wise registry cleaner
wise disk cleaner
auslogics defrag

dont relly on windows system to clean and defrag it is next to useless and excessively slow

and what about a very fast downloader
DAP is upto 400% faster than most downloaders and is free

but first when you log on to this site go for DAP
it will save you bags of time
