Question about Cobra 29 LTD CB Radio

First the light in the meter is out. Next People can hear me but when they come back they break up. It seems to happen more when the truck is moving. When I key the mic up the green light turns red and the antenna light turns red and does not come on right away. Sometimes it does not come on at all!

Check your antenna, have someone tap on it with a non-conductive stick (while standing several feet away) while you listen and watch the transmit for an intermittent problem coinciding with the tapping. If that checks good then check your coax and connectors.

Your panel meter may need a new lamp, an LED would last longer than an incandescent. Be sure to add a limiting resistor in series with an LED for 12vdc.

I have a 1999 Plymouth breeze and my break lights went out I changed the fuse and the break switch and changed the bulbs and they still not working help I need answers.
Two possibilities. One is both light sockets are bad, Unlikely,but it can happen. Next is a broken wire. The harness is under the car. At the back you will find where the harness splits. The break will be any where from that point up to the brake switch. If you know how to use a volt ohm meter, check for power and ground at the sockets first.

Cobra 29 wx nw st does not have full RX
go towww.cbtricks .com and look up cobra 29 wx nw st everything you need to know is there. you would be better off taking it back to the tech and having him do the receive because you would need more meters than just the one one the front of the radio.

The dryer will not operate. you can press the buttons , all the lights come on, but as soon as you press start you hear a clicking sound and then nothing happens. I seems the dryer is on but nothing is...
unplug dryer, remove back panel, look for a white part with 2 connectors on the blower housing and remove one, using a continuity or ohm meter put across the leads and if you hear no sound or see no reading in meter replace that part. is the thermal fuse. this is the most common problem for that failure.

Brake lights not working, fuses, bulbs, pedal switch all new. Center brake light in window is working.
First check the ground on the brake lights. Make sure it is connected and not rusted. Next use a meter and check the voltage of the hot wire. If no power check for a break in the wire and or replace the wire back to the fuse block.

ABS/Parking break lights dinged... added break fluid(per manual)... while driving ABS/Parking break lights flashing and dinging while speedometer moves up and down... then the lights stayed on and...
check for codes with scanner it most likely is the abs sensor on the rear differential housing that is bad easy fix

Saab 93 19 tid moving off in 1st gear very little power for a few seconds then car bursts into life same happens when changing up into 2nd gear

The EZ Vinyl/Tape Converter software seems to have caused a conflict in the audio codec. I can hear the music on vinyl as it records, but now I can't hear iTunes or web sounds. All my settings for volume...
It is probably too late to help you, but others might have this problem and we solved the issue by disabling and enabling.
Click on windows button (bottom left hand corner), control panel - sound - Playback tab
You will find that there are a number of different speaker setups in that area. One set will have the light meter moving, but there won't be sound from your speakers. This is because the modern computer is much more like an amp and has the ability to have different speaker combinations and settings. You only use one speaker set-up.
- double click on a speaker option, advanced tab, and test. If there is no sound, then your speakers aren't connected to that port. Move to the next one.
- Once you find the correct speaker setup for your system, then disable the previous setup and ensure this one is enabled. Once the meter bar lights up for the right speaker combo, all sound will work as expected on your computer.

The modern computer is much like a stereo amp now, and you have to tell it which set to use. (For some reason it works well enough, until you start adding stereo components onto your system.)

Tranny wont go in gear but truck seems stuck in park..happened while stuck in snow going from drive to reverse..any ideas on what may be the problem
with the truck not running. turn the key on. move your gear selector. do you hear the normal clicking as you move through the gears. if so you park pin is the problem and you need a trans shop. if not it is possible you linkage came off. out side the trans or nside. if inside the trans you have to drop the pan and see if the parts are laying in the bottom and bolt back up. if not laying theere again take to a trans shop. if out side the trns just repair the faulty part. sometimes the little boss o the side of threans breaks off the the linkgae will not move the gears in the trans but will move in the cab.
