My Finesse phone will drop the first call the phone recieves every day. After 30 to 40 seconds it will drop the call even when you have max coverage. I have talked to straight talk, I have dialed *228, *22890, *22891. They have sent another phone but it is experiencing the same problem. Is this a problem in the phone or something with straight talk?

You could be in a location with bad coverage/reception (few or no bars). Try moving to a location with better coverage.

You might also need to reboot your phone. Try turning it off by holding down your power button (depending on your model you might need to select "turn off" from a menu after that). Remove your battery and wait 30 seconds to a minute. Replace your battery and turn your phone back on. Wait for it to finish booting and try your call again. Hope this helps!

Remove the battery for 5 minutes and retry. If the battery is dead or low, then plug it in and try turning it on.

the problem is with your network ic.replacing it will fix your problems.

Network IC Problem. We also faced the same problem here. The Signal Bar shows Full Strength for a few Seconds and immediately drops down to Zero Strength but it Displays the Operator Name.

Check screen settings, you may have Screen saver activated for too short period.

you will need new rechargeable batteries

This is probably due to a damaged mainboard. It happened in my sony K770i and im afraid its a write off. I had the same problem it was as if the imei had been blacklisted.

luckily it still works... usually you have a hardware problem... but you say sometimes you have a coverage and suddenly drops... you still have a chance to let your phone your to normal... just visit a service center have have your phone reheat or resolder its parts inside...
