Psp will not read discs

Could not read the disc. For details read the console manual.

There may be dirt or scratches on the disc or internal lens.
First remove the disc and gently wipe from the center to the outside with a soft cloth... better u download psp repair guide

the umd drive must be dying. You can replace the und drive.

One trick you can try is to put a little water on a cotton swab and clean the the laser.It just inside the psp where you put the umd drive. also try to move the laser all the way to the inside

when i put in any game the psp tells... Answer Failed: retry when i put in any game the psp tells me the disc cannot be read. how can this be fixed?

Wipe the lense of the PSP with a ear cleaner and maybe that will work. The constant heating up/cooling down on the PSP builds up moisture.

It sounds like your lens is bad or your disc tray is not spinning your discs.

try to turn umb auto start off on system settings turn off system put disk in and try again

sounds like u messed up the laser on ur psp

hardest thing to fix because it is very hard to replace
(when u replace it the new umd reader it usually refuses to read too)

u should take it to a repair shop if u want to get it fixed

Hello Bryan your psp might need to be looked at cause if it cant read a disc that it has been created to read it may cause problems so my advise is to get it looked at OK? hope i helped bye!

theres a little laser that reads ur disc's if u jammed something in the cd container or put something in wrong it may have broken
