Hello,
AIO = All In One.
For example: you can have an AIO printer, that can print, scan and fax. Install "aio software for the printer" (also called "full features software"), onto your computer:
This will put a program on your computer to make it communicate with your printer, for all the functions it is built for.
note
When you did not install any printer software on your computer yet: before installing, disconnect the USB cable.
Install the full features software for the printer onto your computer.
Power up and connect the printer after the installation has finished or when a dialog on your computer screen tells to do so.
When you already installed printer software, but it was not the complete version: uninstall the printer first.
Disconnect the USB cable. In the hardware manager, remove the printer:
Click start in the bottom left on the computer screen.
Select control panel. Select Printers... Select the printer you have and remove / delete it. Now install the full features software.
Power up and connect the printer, after the program finished the installation.

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
AiO software is actually HP All in one drivers utility, it is a bunch of all the drivers in a single series of products.
As far as you should or should not install it, IF you are not having any issues with your products of HP, mean to say if you have any hp products or your machine is of HP and you are NOT having any issues, then NO need to install it as whenever you will need to uninstall it you will need to download a separate stand-alone uninstall utility.
I hope you will have a clear picture now.
If you think I was of help, your token of appreciation in the form of rating will be esteemed.
Concerned, Nooh

Download the "windows Installer cleanup utility" from microsoft --
After installing it on your computer, go to it from your programs menu and select AiO software NPI ... from the list of programs
presented. Hit the button to remove, don't worry about the pop up window that says you had a system error, just agree with it.
