My Maytag refrigerator Model PTB1954GR is not cooling. It has power, internal lights are on and I can hear a noise like a fan spinning as though it was working normally. However, besides the fact that is not cooling, and I can hear a click every now and then. Any suggestions?

Hello, my Maytag fridge mod.#mbf2258dem00 freezer is no longer working. The fan is running.,I also hear a clicking noise quite often and then engages the cooling function, but quickly turns off again.

The problem is probably the starter asm. on the compressor, though it could be signs that the compressor is failing. An amp draw test would be a good place to start

My Maytag MFF2558VEM Bottom Freezer French Door Refrigerator doesn't keep cool

What you should be looking for is a blocked air flow. The fan in the freezer will push air up to the fridge and cool it off. Look for a dead fan motor in the freezer or a blocked air vent Good luck

Maytag refrigerator model msd2651heb not cooling. Hear fan running but not condensor

if you mean the compressor isn't running most likely you have a bad start device part 67005560,pull out machine unplug it and remove the bottom back panel, look at compressor, pop off metal clip and remove cover on the side of compressor, slide off the device and shake it,if the device is cooked you'll hear pieces rattling around inside it,install new part,if it still doesn't start could have a bad compressor.

Fan clatter

Check the fan motor mounting screws in the back, they may be loose. The fan motor is located behind a removable panel in the back. Also with the power off spin the fan blade and look to see if one is bent a little. While you are at it clean the condenser area.
