Question about Kodak EasyShare C643 Digital Camera

Kodak EasyShare C643 Lens Error

I have a lens error that pops up when I turn my camera on. The error is 111,0,0,-2. I can still go to my favorites and review all my pictures through there, but I would like to be able to use the camera again for pictures...any ideas?

I keep getting various lens errors..... most of the time it is the lens error 111... but sometimes it is the error 115. tonight just by turning on my camera it will show error 115 and shut immediately...

How do i fix the lens error 111?

for me when i was getting the lens error 111, the lens shutters were set crooked and was able to move them slightly and the error went away and the camera works fine now.

C643 error on screen

I had the same problem with my C643 I took it apart and still found nothing wrong. I didn't feel like paying kodak prices so I just sold it on ebay so someone could get it for the high demand LCD screen.

Lens Error

Two posibilities : either the gear box needs attention or the lens itself is impacted . The first problem is not so expensive to sort out by your repair outfit but the impacted lens problem is expensive ( may require replacing lens assy. ). Anyway camera has to go in I am affraid.

Either the lens is impacted ( usually dropping the camera ) and the whole lens assambly must be replaced ( generally too expensive on entry level cameras ) OR the gear box needs attention : this is not so expensive to repair but must be done by someone trained.
