I have A norstar nortel phone that will not ring all other phones in the office ring

Different rings for internal (intercom) vs outside (central-office) calls.

Check the forward no answer setting for number of rings on each extension that has ringing lines. The number of rings should be more than the auto attendant is set to answer with.

It is not an easy process. the best help I can give you is the main manual for the flash system.

To have no log see your office administrator or call your local tech to De-program your phone from the system log.

A Nortel Key Service Unit, an ICS (MICS,CICS), BCM (50,100 etc), Norstar (308,616,824), an Avaya IP Office running Nortel cards, or there is another company that makes a Nortel emulation key system but I can't recall what it is right now.

If your phone system has 6.1 software or up then yes,the tech or vendor can program it for you. If you know how to program look under Config/Lines for Ring Type.

Programming is done on M7310, M7324 and T7316 sets.
To set up ringing you need to enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt,
press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you wish to program ringing on.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should sat LINE ACCESS
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display should say LINE ASSIGNMENT.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display ask for a line number. press list
The display should say line 001: appear & ring
press the Chng key till it says appear only
press next key (lower right arrow)
The display should say line 002: appear & ring
repeat the procedure the same as line 001 for the remaining ringing lines

press the release key when finished

If you know how to access admin programming. Yes, all the phones are probably set to "appear only"you need to go into line appearance for all the extensions and make them "appear and ring" If you find it, you can copy that programming from the phone that is already ringing.

It sounds like both phones are set to ring on incoming calls and both phones are set to call forward to voice mail box with the same amount of rings . you should turn off the ringing for both phones that way it will not jump between the to mail boxes . now when a call is trans it will go to the box .

Make sure DRT is turned off/ set to no and on lines supervised is selected.
