If the dryer is running but not heating, then the heating element needs to be replaced. The procedure is as follows:--- 1) First of all unplug the dryer from wall outlet.
2) Remove the front service panel of the dryer.
3) After the front service panel is removed. You will see the heating element wires and heat shield.

Change element in a samung dv665j

Usually, one takes the rear cover off revealing the element area. I doubt if the heating element is burned out. Typically the small thermostat or thermal fuse link blows before the heating element goes. You would have to see the diagram of your model online. Most sites have the exploded parts view of that section online. If you don't have a meter tester you may have to replace all 3. Some models have them all tied into 1 board. This site has video troubleshooting. http://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/How-To-Fix-A-Dryer/8-160-1067262-/Samsung-Dryer-doesn-t-heat-DV665J Samsung Dryer Doesn Heat

How do i change the element on a samsung dryer

Hello.

When the dryer just isn't getting your clothes dry anymore, the culprit is usually the heating element. The dryer part may look intimidating, but you can replace the heating element.

Step by step instructions

TOOLS NEEDED New heating element,Screwdriver, Needle-nose pliers.

1 Unplug the dryer from the wall before starting. Find the dryer heating element cabinet. For most dryers this is located in the back, however it can be in the front. Find the compartment on the dryer.
2 Remove the screws or clips to get into the compartment to expose the heating element and wires. Use a needlenose pliers to carefully remove the element wires.
3 Detach the can shaped object that may cover the heating element. Tip the can backward to slip it off the hooks holding it in place. Some models place the heating element with the can, while others provide easier access to it.
4 Unscrew the screws holding the element in place and pull it out.
5 Put the new element in place, and replace the screws to secure it in the dryer. Put the can back in place and connect the element wires before putting on the cabinet cover.
6 Run the dryer on fluff with no heat, and go outside to make sure enough air is getting through the vent system.
7 Break the new heating element in by running your dryer on high heat for 10 minutes without any clothes in the dryer. This cleans oily residue off the element and keep the clothes from getting smoky.

Thanks.

My maytag electric dryer will not heat up. it's a de107

Have someone check to be sure you have 240 volts to the plug. The dryer will run on 120 volts but must have 240 volts to the heating unit. If you 240 volts you probably need a heating element or control.

Changing heating element on a frigidaire dyer

If you dryer lint screen is located at the top of your dryer your heating element is going to located at the rear of your dryer. You will need to remove the back of the dryer to get to it. You will see a housing and the element is located in there. If you lint screen is located in the door when you open the door then your heating element is located in the front. This one is easier to get to. Simply remove the bottom panel under the door and you will see the heating element right at the front on the right hand side. Make sure you unplug the dryer before working on it. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and also please let me know if this was helpful for you. Good luck and glad to help.

Dryer doesnt work but i hear the timer working

Change your cycling thermostat. When your cycling thermostat fails, then the reponsibility of your heating element to shut down goes to the high-limit thermal shut off (closest to heat element) and the thermal fuse. Your cycling thermostat should shut down heat element when it detects about 140* air in the blower housing. Yours can't detect that anymore so it lets your dryer heat up and up till you blow the thermal. new cycling thermostat and thermal
