NEED SATA DRIVERS FOR LATATUDE D800 REINSTALLING XP PRO

This is the sign of either Faulty RAM or RAM with a Timing Issue. Quite often if more RAM has been added to a computer and it is not identical from the same Manufacturing Batch there can be Timing Issues that do not show a problem while the OS is working but prevent the installation of Windows Particularly.

The answer here is to either remove the added RAM till after you have reinstalled Windows or replace the faulty RAM if one has failed.

try starting it in safe mode(f8 while starting up and restore from there), if not you might have to boot from the recovery cd, and last but not least reinstall windows

My laptop doesn't produce any sound.

Did you check start->control panel->system->hardware tab-> device manager and see if there are any errors related to your sound drivers? Probably see a yellow exclamation

You might find it difficult to get hold of windows XP keys since Microsoft stopped selling it.
If you get on google and search for something called TinyXP (rev09). I think that this willl solve your problem.

Try rebooting and hitting the F8 repeatedly as soon as the boot sequence starts. When it comes up to an options screen select repair. From there you can let windows try to repair or select to install to the factory settings.

Hi sjt916,

Unfortunately the only way to fix this is to reinstall the program. Somehow the installation has become corrupt and is conflicting with a windows operation producing an error.

Please tell me how it goes.

Cyberlink DVD Error 80040216 error code

I was having this error for a long time, trying to figure out.
In my search, I had found:
It seems to be an issue with SP3.
someone mentioned they could go in and play the .vob file but that was it..
uninstalling and reinstalling does not work
changing hardware acceleration does not work.
I long since gave up on the search, even later changed my hard drive (yes even on new HD it was giving this error), but my windows media player kept giving me a copyright protection code error, and one of the fixes was to reinstall my video driver. Or install a decoder (seems to mean the only way windows media will play movies is if you have other dvd software installed - this way it can read from it).
So I:
*upgraded my video driver. I have a HP Nc6000 ATI mobility radeon 32mb card.
*also had bought a dvdrw drive so I put that one in
*was told by windows media I had to change my region the dvd player itself was set on region 2
Retried windows media - still again got the copyright code error, decided wth Ill try loading powerdvd again AND IT STARTED
So I dont know which one of the 3 above resolved the issue for PowerDVD, and hopefully it wont come back.
Still working on windows media LOL but I know so many had issues with PowerDVD I wanted to suggest these potential fixes.
