SOURCE: Brother MFC - 7420: Paper will not feed!

Does it make the same sound if you feed the single sheet through the bypass with the paper drawer removed? I hate to say it, but your printer's paper feed mechanism may need replaced. Go to http://www.brother-usa.com/AskUs/default.aspx and ask Brother to diagnose this one; I think they'll confer with me and should be able to point you to a nearby Brother-authorized repair center. Let me know what happens!

SOURCE: automatic Paper feed

Check the feeder roller inside the printer for any foreign substance stuck to the roller, this may cause it not to grip properly. You can also try a few sheets at a time and make sure the paper tray is gripping the paper, but not too hard. If this fails, the roller may be out of place somewhat, try to reposition it. Let me know how you get on.

SOURCE: my printer, makes a grinding noise, when the paper is feeding through when printinig?

Look to make sure that there isn't a small bit of paper caught in the wheels that push the paper through. Over time, even a small bit in the corner can destroy your printer.

SOURCE: Hi I have a Canon PIXMA

It is fixed, I think. My husband worked on it today and had a look inside the printer with a flashlight. He found a plastic tack had dropped in the rear of the printer, down in the rollers! So he fished it out & we seem to be up & running!

Thank You! Joann Gabriel

How to fix Epson WF-4820 that does not recognize the paper cassette being inserted?

If you have problems feeding paper, try these solutions:

·Make sure the paper cassette is inserted in a proper way.

·Check the paper size and type settings properly you loaded.

·If paper does not feed correctly, remove and reload it in the cassette and adjust the edge guides. Make sure the paper stack is not above the tab on the edge guides inside the cassette.

·If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper, fan the edges to separate the sheets, and reload it.
·Do not load more than the recommended number of sheets.

·Make sure your paper meets the specifications for your product.

·If paper jams when you print on both sides of the paper, try loading fewer sheets.

·If too many pages are fed when you are performing manual 2-sided printing, remove all other paper from the cassette before reloading the paper.

I hope your problem will be resolved. If you need any help, you can directly contact Epson printer experts through Free Live Chat.

Manual paper feed works but not automatic feed.

I've been told labels have to be manually fed on that printer.

I keep getting an error message that reads: "No Paper Fed. Reload paper, then Press Start". The paper has been fanned, lying flat with no bent edges. There are no paper jams. Any ideas how to fix this?

I'd suggest looking at settings first (as they are easy) and make sure the copier isn't expecting to find the wrong paper or find it in a different feeder. If it is waiting for you to manually feed it an envelope and you are trying to feed it a normal letter sized paper you will get this as an example. If there are more than one user using the copier I'd suspect this more than anything else.

The next culprit usually tends to be the tray or the paper sensor. If you really slam the tray in there it can break or bend and not be sitting correctly anymore. The paper sensor is just a metal arm that rests on top of the paper. If you have problems people tend to give the tray just a "little" extra shove when inserting and that's not a good thing. Everything is plastic so it doesn't take much to fold spindle or mutilate. The paper sensor can be damaged or has failed.

If you have moved it make sure that it is setting level on a flat surface.

Paper jam

Use mirror and flashlight to look down paper feeder from the rear, gently pull paper toward the rear. An index card can be fed from the front to the rear to push paper out by turning the gears you see on the left side inside the front cover. Be careful not to force anything.

Paper feed problem

Try cleaning the rollers with a damp paper towel. Dilute alcohol with water (half and half). Be sure to clean all the way around. Taking it apart is quite a process. Be sure you can get the replacement parts before you start.
