Mine did the same thing. Unplug the basterd and wait about 30 minutes. Unplug all auxilleries connected to it too. Then plug it in again. The red light should come on. The problem is that the liquid crystal power supply got switched off during the outage. If that doesnt work then you have to check the motherboard section 5V. If it is off you should see a number 1. If its on you should see a number 0. Thats what the schematic drawing shows. I found this in the online manual for troubleshooting dynex flat tvs. Fortunately I didnt have to touch the motherboard. I'm not telling you to go inside the tv and get yourself killed. Think safety at all times if you must go inside. Find the manual too. I dont remember where I found it, but you should be able to find one.
