try to reset your ps3. hold the power button and it will beep a couple of times do this three times. it will reset your system and work as long as you have no other issues
1. if u are using hdmi port and it is connected to hdmi in your tv
setting might have been changed
1. take out ur nomal av output wire which is given by sony , plug it on to a normal tv (rgb) now u can see the display (if not try mannual swithch off the ps3 and on for 3 to 4 times) u will get the display 2. now go to settings (video settings) there is a option called video output u can change it to AUTOMATIC
if you setup your wireless in adhoc mode like useing the pc wirless it wont work because ps3 doesnt see adhoc wireless.
and for the ethernet connection is the pc setup right. you have to enable internet sharing on the accuall interface that has internet.. If local area connection 1 is connected to internet and local area connection 2 is plugged into ps3 then under local area connection 1 settings you have to set share this connection and in the drop down menu select local area connection 2. other than that you need to buy a router.
okay.. (in case this is the problem) the yellow jack goes into the video slot, and the white and red jacks go into the audio slots.. (it wont matter wich one you plug it into)
if thats not it, then maybe take your ps3 back and get a new one
Have you tried replacing the video cable going from your ps3 to the Television... if it is an HDMI cable and you have more than 1 HDMI port on your TV, try a different port as well.
im not a huge expert on ps3's but it sounds to me like the operating system within the PS3 has gone corrupt. no idea on how to fix this one though im afraid id suggest getting in contact with sony
