It probably has an old PCMCIA card for wireless but they don't work well with modern routers.
I would recommend getting one like the one in the link below. It's super small, very fast, extremely cheap $10, Installs right in a usb port, and if your operating system is windows XP or later it should even auto install the drivers for you. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833315091
Hi. You need to check first if your computer has its wireless driver installed. Wireless adapter should be turned on and enabled. Click on the computer icon on the lower right side of the screen and wireless adapter should be able to search for your wireless router. Click the name if your router then click connect. If it is asking for a password, type in your router password. You should be connected to the internet by this time.
I think you are asking how to log into your Netgear router? If so, the default user name is "admin" and password is "password". Please ensure that this is changed immediately, as this is widely known information and anyone can get into your router and change your settings if you don't secure it otherwise. I would be more than able to help you further as needed. Please reply with specific Netgear router model as you need further assistance.
1. Connect your router via LAN.
2. On your internet type in 192.168.1.1
3. Type 1234 on the password screen.
4. Go on the Wireless LAN tab
5. Un-check the option for Hide SSID

Hi , If you have forgotten the BIOS Password there is only one way either you give your PC to an expert or you need to open the PC and reset the jumper in the motherboard.
have a look at the book that came with the wireless router and see what is the ip address. it should be 198.162.1.254. type this into your home pc internet explorer address bar. you should get the router settings page. then go to the wireless setup page and you will find the wep key there
