To further help this problem I need to know if the lights are flashing and whether you hear any noises, does it sound like the tv is trying to start up?

Also did anything happen that might have caused this problem?

Thanks, As soon as I get a response and as many details as possible, I can further diagnose the problem. Please give me as much info as possible.

HI,

It can be a power supply issue. You will have to get this repaired by a tech or if it is under warranty just replace ti.

Goodluck..

do the hard reset first by unplugging all the cords for 4 hours and then plugging it back in.

If no result, check the line cord and make sure you are getting power
into the set. A bad line cord is quite frequent too..

I need the three digit code for the ge universal remote control for sylvania 6513DD please.

Hi, You can programme your remote by below method
Manual code entry
1.Turn on your television or other electronic component that you want to program the remote control for.
2.Hold down the "Code Search" or "Setup" button until the LED indicator light turns on. 3.Hit the button for the component that you are programming (TV,DVD VCR, etc.). The LED light should flicker and stay on.
4.Enter the 3-digit or 4-digit code that corresponds to the TV or device that you're operating. The LED light should go off if the code is valid, but will flash if it is not. Try other codes you have.
5.Try turning the television or other programmed component off to ensure that the remote works properly, once the light has gone off.

Auto configuration

1.Turn on your television or other electronic component that you want to program the remote control for.
2.Hold down the "Code Search" or "Setup" button until the LED indicator light turns on. 3.Hit the button for the component that you are programming (TV, DVD, VCR, etc.). The LED light should flicker and stay on.
4. Press and release the "Power" until the television or other component turns off while waiting at least 2 seconds between each press.
5.Press "Enter" or "Save" once the remote has effectively turned the power off. The LED light will shut off and the remote will now operate the device.

Got hit by lighting spike blows fuses when plugged in

The television has problems in the power supply board. The high transient voltages in the spike may have damaged all the board in the unit. This is because of the speed in which it occurs. The Power supply has other safety blow out components in it to stop this damage. If you are lucky the components saved the rest of you television and just blew out the power supply. You will need to have the television tested and see if this is the case. The customer service telephone number is 1-800-631-3811. Give them the model number of you television and ask them for a location of the nearest service center. Call them and ask them how much they charge for estimating repairs for you type of television. They should be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Television will not turn on

The power supply is defective on this TV.
There seems to be a very high failure rate on the power supplies after about 18 to 24 months.
