Yes, the power is on and obviously the vehicle ignition is on. It happens when I am driving down the interstate. I have also checked the lighter socket and tried it in another vehicle and the same happens.

Radar detectors will not work behind heat reflective glass. Note this is different to heated glass found in Fords etc which are fine. The Heat reflective glass as found in most Renaults, Some Peugeots, Citroens etc will effect any gps device also as it inhibits the signal sent to the satellite. In this instance a Re-Ratiating or external antenna is required and can be fitted near the dotted area around the rear view mirror.

I'll also see if there is a manual available for this model and post it here.

Pleased don't forget to rate the solution.

Check that the power is ON.
    • Check that vehicle ignition is ON.
    • Check that vehicle lighter socket is functional.
    • Try RX65 in another vehicle.

If you still face the problem you'll have to get it serviced o replaced if it is still under warranty.

2004 After about a mile of road travel, why does transmission begin to slip?

Usually a transmission slipping isn't due to the drive shaft, but the transmission itself. I know this might sound a like a crazy question, but have you checked the transmission fluid levels, could be a leak, if not full would cause slippage.

Find level ground with a wall. Drive up to the wall and mark where the centre of your headlights are on the wall with a piece of tape. Back up 20 feet and turn your headlights on high beam. Using the adjusting knobs make each light shine directly on the spot. Low beam adjusts itself down and to the left/right (away from oncoming traffic depending on what side of the road you drive on)

Hello I have a 2006 Ford Five Hundred, a wrench looking symbol has popped on when I am driving up hill. And when coming back down my RPM's have gone crazy and I have stopped the car, turned it off and when...

You have a transmission control unit problem unfortunately and I'll warn you - it's not cheap. Your description describes it to a "T". It will reset itself to "LIMP" mode (short distance drivability) and will only reset so many times. You need to take to Ford and have trans control unit replaced. (PS bring your wallet - sorry)

2003 Chevy Malibu. While driving down the road turn signal keeps clicking randomly.

what this means that either you have a short in the wire harness going to the turnsignal/dimmer switch assembly . or the switch contacts inside the dimmer switch itself are shorting. this would be a good place to check for the intermitant problem
