I play an online game called knightonline, every since they updated there x trap,my pc turns completley off.if i turn pc on straight away it has at the bottom cpu temperature, but only when i play this 1 game.is it causing harm to my pc.or is it totally another problem.my pc is better then the recomended stats.any help on how to fix this problem would be great
No, i am not using a Laptop. I have a Desktop I have come to the conclusion that Xtrap is the cause. Alot of people have been complaining of the same problem or similar after the latest Xtrap patch (which coincidently also contains some form of malware). I have decided to steer clear of this game until things have been fixed or a solution is given. As it stands, the company (K2 Networks) who runs the game have not even acknowleged any problems with XTrap. With over 1000 people encountering the same problem as me and no official response to be given, it would be unwise to continue playing as im unsure of what damage may be caused. Other problems that have arisen from the last XTrap are: Blue screen of death PC restarting for no reason PC completely turning off Screen Freezing I have noticed only people using Windows XP are getting the PC turning off, the other problems seem to be only for Vista.

we now know it is top secret PC, Desktop so all fans dead or messing. in the case. so all are packed in lint, clean it. and all heat sink fins/fans cleaned of lint. CPU and GPU card, is there a card not told. the GPU card with fan must be clean too. and the case fan needs to be added if missing do the CPU and GPU can send hot air to your room. is your room 20c or 30c ambient temp, not told PCs all over heat at 30C room or cabana temps. the faster the 3d GAME the more easy for the PC to slow down the intel CPU slows at it get too hot near 80C and at 90C the CPU shuts it self off to save its LiL' bacon.. newer PCs now have GPU chip and SSD that both shut down too hot, (a blessing really) The PC, some models, the mobo does the same if fans go dead or runs too hot. now you know the why , and the cures are all obvious.no PC ever told, nobody can help lacking such a key fact, PC makers name and model

First off. Uninstall the game. go into the directory and delete anything you see with Activision or call of duty 2. then, reinstall the game. Make sure the disc is clean, use Windex or water and a rag to clean the disc. (the smallest smudge ALWAYS screws my install up..). Install. DO not play it yet. Go to there website and locate the newest patch for the game. Update the entire game first. Then go play. all the servers are kicking you because you are not updated like everyone else. The game itself and server is kicking you because you are not updated. You **MUST** update to the newest driver or the server will **NEVER** let you in. Hope that sheds some light on the situation. any further questions email. [email protected]
One thing you can do is check your connection on your PS3. What i would do is i would check if i can go on the internet (WWW) and see if that works then i know its not the connection. After that i would take my ps3 and totly turn it of for about 10 minutes, then put in a PS3 Game that doesn't work online and see if i can get on. If that doesn't work then you need! to call the PS3 company and tell them whats going down and tell them that you need them to fix it A Sap
All of the new games try to connect to the internet as soon as the game loads. It's like all the silly errors you get when you turn your computer on without the internet. My ps3 automatically connects me to the internet as soon as I turn it on. You shouldn't be limited to playing online like warhawks. I think it's just an annoyance.
