It means anything bigger won't work in the ViviCam 5388. They may work in other cameras, depending on the camera.

My camera is saying its full what do i do it wont let me take any pics what so ever

I had the same problem with my cannon. my guess is that your memory chip could be full or not working. remove your memory chip, stick it in your computer memory slot and download and erase. that should work. if not go out and buy a bigger memory chip. hope this helps

Memory card problems

Can you remove the card, and put it into a PC or laptop with a reader or do you have a reader so you don't loser what's on the card ?

If the card freezes the camera, you need to plug this card into a PC and do a quick format.

Then try it in camera, if it doesn't freeze the camera you need to format the card with the camera.

Remember, the manual say's only 1g cards max, most non SDHC are 2g, but the manual say's only 1g.

So if the card is bigger then 1g, this can be the problem.

What does formatted card mean

It means either you need to format the memory card or it has been formatted. A formatted memory card is a term that means to erase all images permanately and wipe the card clean. To format the card, go into the menu and format it there. If you have images on the card and don't want to lose them, download them to your computer first.

New card

According to the instructions that came with the camera, it states that a maximum of 256 mb memory card is allowed. So, 1G amd 2G memory cards won't work. Like you, I bought a 2G memory card, getting the same message that the card was full so when I checked the manual, I saw my mistake. Live and Learn! I should have checked the manual BEFORE I bought this card. Now I have to go out and buy the 256 mb memory card (and I'll save the 2G card for a new camera that I hope to buy in the future).[email protected]
