Same problem;  Blinking light, error message the same.  The unit is totally unresponsive;  I googled the error code, and found numerous entries;  The blogs indicate its a problem with the paper path, but I've been unable to get the printer back working

My Canon MP530 is giving 6A00 error message and alarm light is flashing along with copy button. i have replaced empty ink cartridges with new ones. Can anyone help, please?

Error code 6A00 indicates an error occurred in the AP motor during purging operation. You need to replace sheet feed unit, logic board assy and purge unit to fix it. Before replacement of the logic board assy, check the waste ink amount (by service test print or EEPROM information print). If the waste ink amount is 7% or more, also replace the ink absorber kit when replacing the logic board assy.
