Question about Stihl Concrete Cutoff Chop Saw Clutch Ts400 Ts 400

Trying to start a stihl ts 400 disc cutter i pulled the string over and over and nothing .it has oil petrol n everything what can it be?

Try cleaning the plug and spray some starting fluid in the carb.Hope this helps and Thank You for asking!!!

Try some WD40. I know everybody said to do that but the throttle has some corrosion on it or rust.

Apart from using the wrong mixture of 2 stroke engine oil and petrol what causes the pistons to be dameged on a ts410 stihl saw

Power cutters run in a very dusty enviroment, if concrete dust passes the filter and enters the cylinder it will very quicky remove the plating on the cylinder and wear the piston skirt, once into the bearings it will destroy them, if the rings are badly worn ( remove them from the piston and check the end gap by entering them into the cylinder, if the gap is excessive you have had dust entering the cylinder )

Is your fuel mixed correctly.? Do you still have good compression.? Is the choke leaver stuck on.?

Stihl ts 400 wont start

If there is good fuel in the tank and the plug gets wet with fuel, and there is a good spark stating the obvious it should go, if not there could be a mechanical issue, piston scored, rings worn etc,

Hi, my Stihl ts 400 blade runs at idle.I have tried adjusting the idle down as far as I can but it still turns.

seems that ur clutch is sticking.take recoil caseing of and check by turning blade by hand,if you feel the engine turning over,then your clutch drum is sticking,be sure to remove ur spark plug cap! it will be the bearing at the rear of the clutch drum,maybe a little oil and a few turns will help it free itself.hope this helps.

compressed air works well. you really need a gun with a long skinny nozzle. for example
