There are several possibilities: a bad cooling fan, color wheel beginning to fail, or a transformer on the power supply board. I would recommend calling a technician to find out which part is failing. You can call 1-800-samsung to find the nearest service center.

My samsung dishwasher has a constant buzz that occurs during start up and lasts through all of the cycles. I saw where there is an electrical noise filter and did not know if that could be the cause.

No a noise filter is a different kettle of fish. That stops electrical interference noise from affecting your television, radios and electrical devices.

The most likely source of the hum is the start capacitor on the motor, or the motor itself.

This has a different idea

Humming or Grinding If your Samsung dishwasher makes noise when starting that sounds like a low hum, it's part of normal function. The motor makes this sound as it operates throughout the wash cycle. However, a dishwasher making loud humming noise or grinding sounds could mean that debris is caught in the drain pump.

Samsung Dishwasher Making Noise? Follow These Tips

This says the drain pump, but the drain pump only runs to empty out so it wouldn't do it all the time.

I have a pair of JM lab Electra 905 speakers, running through a DNM amp and power amps. When powered up, the left speaker makes a very loud humming noise. This has happened recently. I haven't changed...

Hello
Switch on your amp, keep its volue down to extreme low, and listen if there is still hum through the left channel or not. If still there is hum, the left side power amplifier section inside the amp;ifier is faulty. If htere is no hum at this state, hum enters thorugh the audio input terminal, and the input wires must be checked for open sheild connection. OK.

Have a Hum in the sound of the TV

If you mean there's a hum from the speakers it could be a disturbance in your AC line. Or a hum from a DLP projection TV could also be a bad color wheel. But if its from the speakers of the TV it could be noise in the power supply from a few warped capacitors.

I hear the fan almost non stop while the tv is on.

You have a bad color wheel. The color wheel is located in front of the lamp, as the light shines through it as it spins. It is made up of different colored segments of glass, and one of the segments has came loose and causing the vibrating humming noise. The reason I know it isn't a fan is because the fans will continue to run for about 30 seconds after the set is powered off. The click you hear is the relay cutting off the fans. The color wheel cuts off as soon as you press the power button to cut the set off. I've replaced many of these at our shop for the same problem.

I have a humming noise coming from my new 50in panasonic plasma tv. Is this a common problem and if so what could I do about it? Thank you for your time. Pat

The humming noise should be verry low . It is caused by the powersupply and switching fets on the boards. A plasma screen always produce some sort of humming noise when listen carefully to the device but it shouln't be anoying when enyoing a movie. So it is a natural thing but again it should not be noticable, enyoing a movie at apr. 3 meters or so...

My Samsung 50" DLP HDTV keeps humming when the DLP lamp comes on.

Hi, you have one of two problems, either the color wheel is going or one of the cooling fans are going, the color wheels are a very common problem in samsung dlp`s, sorry I can`t nail it to a specific part but I`d bet it`s the color wheel as they are notorious for failing in samsungs, video-tek
