Rip fence to saw blade alignment

I need a pictorial of how to adjust the rip fence so it's perfectly aligned to the saw blade.

I dont believe there are pictures, but what you need to do is move the fence to the blade, there are 2 10MM bolts on the backside that you need to loosen and then you can move the fence to square with the blade. Snug them down and move the fence and recheck let me know if you have anymore problems

I have a craftsman professional radial arm saw model 9058 the blade is dog tracking how do I adjust it

On my old unit, there are 4 allen head bolts that secure the saw to the housing. If you slack them back you should be able to set the alignment so the blade is exactly at right angles to the fence. Just use a framing square to align. When you turn the housing for ripping cuts it should be parallel to the fence.
No more dog tracking!

Table saw blade alignment

Are you referring to the table top or rip fence alignment? The blade itself is not aligned. We adjust the table to parallel with blade and the rip fence should toe away from blade 0.01mm over the length of the rip fence to prevent binding.

How do you adjust the rip fence on the Dewalt 744 type 1 table saw

there are 2 bolts on the backside that you need to loosen and move the fence to the blade to align it properly, after aligning tighten the bolts and I always recheck to ensure that it didn't move, there are instructions in the owners manual and if you don't have one you can go to dewaltservicenet.com and download one for the tool. Are you wanting to square the blade to the rip fence, to the miter fence or does the blade show runout?

To square the rip fence to the blade, lay a combination square or engineer's square along the blade with the short leg against the closest end of the fence and even with the near end of the blade. Slide the square along the blade so that the short leg is even with the far end of the blade. Loosen the lock knob and move the far end of the fence until it touches the leg of the square. Tighten the lock knob. Recheck and adjust the fence until it is perfectly square to the blade.

Adjust the miter fence to the blade in a similar fashion except that the short leg of the square will lay against the miter fence. Adjust until the long leg is aligned with the blade. The instructions for these adjustments are in the owner's manual.

If you have blade runout, remove it from the saw and lay it flat. Check for warping and if warped, replace it.

Rip fence is out of alignment..what do I need to do?

This is the fundamental problem with rip fences on table saws. I don't know what kind of rip fence you have, but most rip fences are adjustable for squareness. However, unless you have a very nice (and expensive) rip fence, they often don't self-align when you move them anyway. If you have the type that clamps at the front and the back of the table, the problem can be overcome by making sure the rip fence is straight before you clamp it in place. The easiest way I have found to do that is to use an adjustable square. Put the front of the rip fence where you want it, then set the adjustable square so that it matches the distance from the miter slot in the table to the fence. Then move the square to the back of the table and move the back of the fence to meet the end of the square. Now clamp it in place and check the front and the back one more time. It's tedious to do this every time you adjust the fence, but you can get a perfectly aligned fence this way. This method assumes that your blade is parallel to your miter slots, which is adjustable too, but you have to get underneath the saw to do that. good luck, Al K

After moving the table saw to a new residence i cant get the rip fence to line up with blade.i tried everything that was in the trouble shooting guide.

I am guessing it must be damaged beyond the adjustments. Are you sure the blade is aligned with the table? If not that could be the problem. I have most rip fences for craftsman belt drive saws available, Ebay 'Hokienpokie" or contact me via email, if you need another fence. Jim

When ripping a board the width becomes narrower toward the end of the board, I have checked the fence and it is aligned correctly. the splitter is also aligned, replaced the blade and it helped did not...

Several possibilities come to mind:

1) Check the alignment of the arbor -- it's possible the arbor or arbor nut are not completely true. Detailed instructions are here:

2) Check the alignment of the blade to the miter slots. If you aligned only the fence to the miter slots, it's possible the fence may not be aligned with the blade if the blade is out of alignment.

3) You said you checked the alignment of the fence and splitter, but these are the most common causes for the problem you're having. You might want to re-check the alignment of both, using a different method. Try these methods:

Be methodical and follow the directions for alignment closely. The extra attention you put into aligning your saw will pay you back many times over in clean, accurate cuts.

Blade Alignment?

ok yep your blade is out of alignment with the fence. It is closer to the fence at the rear than the front. You need to make the modification or adjustment to your fence, if it allows that, and then worry about the miter slots later (which should be adjusted miter slot to blade, not miter slot to fence). You might be able to adjust the miter slot to blade by moving the actual table and then securing witht he table mount bolts. Check your manual for how to align the fence.

You do want to fix that though as it can be potentially dangerous and result in kickback of the workpiece which is a rather SCARY thing, and very dangerous.

Blade Alignment?

By splitter I take it you mean fence. If this is correct there could be a couple things that I would look for. UNPLUG saw and check the blade at 0 for being inline, make sure flanges are on correctly and finally what I would look at is the adjustable table bringing the fence toward the blade. Loosen lever and move it to the first slot where the guide would go align the front of fence and lock lever then check the back of the fence to make sure it is straight. If not you would have to adjust the back rail to align it. What I made to do this is 2 of the rails from the guide slide into the slot and on the back of the saw are 2 10MM bolts that need to be loosened and the rear slide moved one way or the other after loosening the lever push the fence tight to whatever you use as a guide and snug the bolts move the fence away and then bring back rechecking alignment sometimes you might have to try a couple times but it should work. Tighten the bolts and again recheck If not let me know and I will find a manual for you to download
