I have a chamberlain liftmaster formula 1 garage door opener I could able to open the garage door using the remote. How ever I was not able to close it using the inside main panel big white color button. The garage door light blinks 3 to 4 times then tries to close it but stops. If I hold the big white color button it goes all the way and closes it.the remote only opens the garage door but not closes it.
do you know what is the actual problem how to solve it.

Check to make sure the sensors in the doorway are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have a bad sensor.

Your answer is in the last line, unless you have those lights, the opener assumes something is in the way. Make sure you have the green one pointing in the direction of the local sunsets as this is also a problem certain days of the year.
Try reprograming the opener to each remote, if this doesn't work then the command/radio module in the opener is damaged and needs to be replaced. Hopefully you can find one or you will have to replace the whole garage door opener. Good luck.
Is the door stuck in the open position? If so the trolley is probably jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. Loosen the chain enough to free the trolley and then run the opener until the door is closed. While the door is closed locate the 'up limit' on the side of the motor unit and turn this control 2 complete turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Tighten the chain.
The motor is probably either stalling because the door is too stiff, or you have a beam break detector that is being triggered when the door is halfway down.
