I would like to know when it say laptop with built in wireless. Does that mine i already got internet service on it. Or i have to buy USB modem.

Hello Blac,

All the laptops available in market have built in wireless 802.11 b/g/n or 802.11 b/g/n Bluetooth® wireless networking. It means that you can access the internet via Wi-Fi or through Wi-Fi hotspots. In wireless connectivity you do not require the wired connection to access the internet. In home you can connect the laptop via wireless connection using the home networking router available in market. The advantage of wireless connection is that you can use the internet in your home anywhere with in 100 meters of range with proper wireless signals. You will require to get the internet connection from the ISP(Internet Service Provider).

Check if the Wireless computer is connected correctly to the Wireless Router, and if yes then try to access google.com and check if you have that Web page opened or not, if not thenn check the Wireless IP address of the Laptop and make sure it should be in the same range of the router, or else the Wireless computer will not connect to Internet.

Internet Connection Problem on One Computer

By any chance, are you trying to use something other than Windows to manage the wireless adapter? If you are, remove it.

Now, Click on Start, right click on Network highlight properties, and click on manage network connections on the Tasks menu.
Your two options will be the icons for your LAN and Wireless Network. Is it enabled and without red or yellow marks? It could be disable, it could be not connected and you can't view wireless networks because the switch is off, or it may just nut see your unsecure network (unlikely).

If the above is clear, right click on the wireless and highlight Properties and left click so it brings up the Networking tab. Highlight IPv4 and click on Properties. Make sure the Obtain dots are ticked. That should work, since you are running unsecured.
If it already is, check the red X or if it isn't click OK and close down the box.

Now, back to where your Wireless card is showing, right click it and you have Disable, Connect/Disconnect, Status, Diagnose etc.

If you're still Disconnected but not Disabled, click on Connect/Disconnect. Does it show your wireless network?

By this time, it should. If it doesn't post back. The other possibility is that you take your computer to a wireless internet cafe, McDonalds, Panera Bread, or motel with WiFi and test it there.

Wireless Home network will not stay connected to internet

So you have a DSL modem connected to a router connected to a wireless router connected to both your computers? Sounds like you need to just get a wireless modem and throw all the routers away.

Adding laptop to home system through Belkin59G .

Good Day!

I believe you are trying to connect wirelessly using your laptop to your wireless router(Belkin 59G). Try to hook it up first on your computer and check if you can go online.

If yes, then that's the time you go to the router's set up page and check the wireless security of the router so that you can connect wirelessly.

If not, then you have to reconfigure the router and the modem. If your internet service provider is cable you can just turn off the router then the modem and waitfor 5 seconds. Turn on the modem, wait for the lights to turn on then the router. After that, check if the computer will be able to go online when connected directly to the router.

Unable to access the internet via my laptop

One of two problems. The Security Key for your wireless connection is wrong, or the McAfee is causing a problem. Most likely conflicting with any other virus software on your computer. Try removing McAfee from the computer and your solution should go away. Try another virus software such as Avast! Home edition. McAfee is known for having issues with wireless internet connections.

Connecting wireless router to laptop computer

Try changing the channel on the router. It would be better to isolate the problem first by trying to connect to other wireless networks on your laptop or having someone's laptop connect to your home wireless network.

No internet connection with laptop computers in home

Good day!

If your Desktop computer is hardwired to the router and your laptop computers can't connect wirelessly, it could be your wireless computers are not synchronized with your router by not having the same settings as the router.

You can use the desktop machine to access your router web interface (setup page) to check the wireless settings such as SSID (Network Name-> Name of your wireless signal shown on your laptop computers), channel and security (wether it is WEP or WPA encryption)

The channel and network name will be automatically detected by the wireless computers. If you have an encryption/security on the router, you need to type the password on the wireless computers for them to authenticate.

Try these and post back if there's any progress
