Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it :http://www.fixyourdlp.com/guides/samsung/bp47-00033a.php It's major symptoms are clicking, electrical sounds, shuts off and on and get the lamp indicator. But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs,It's major symptoms are clicking, electrical sounds, shuts off and on and get the lamp indicator, it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is XL2100 you can find it here:http://www.discount-merchant.com/Sony-XL-2100U-TV-Lamp-p/sony_xl-2100u_replacement_lamp.htm?Click=48173 .Have a blessed one!

The 2 blink error is a temperature error and the 6 blink error is a thermal fuse error. You may need to unplug the set and get you a can of canned air, take off the back lower cover and blow out all of the fans inside the set.
the only way is by bringing to a tech.i think there is no need fro self-fixing with problems like this.try tapping the tv several times then turn it on.
