I purchased a new filter (Model LT600) Part #(5231JA2006B) for my LG refrigerator I installed the new filter and I am unable to set the filter/month button. After installing the new filter the number (1) appears. Is this normal and does the number raise as each month passes by? Or is there a higher number starting and decreasing as each month passes by and eventually goes to (0).

Reset by pressing and holding the Light/Filter button until the number returns to 6 (6 months). Some models only allow you to do this when the number reaches 0 (ie change the filter)
Reset the "Filter Indicator" light (follow the link and click on the instllation tab)

Usually you just need to hold in a reset buttom (or a button near the dispensor for over 5 seconds to reset. The owners manual will tell you (I do not have one). or- Try any buttons you can find.

Where can I purchase replacement water filters for LG Refrigerator Model RS2630SH as soon as possible? I assume actually replacing the filter is self-explanatory? Thanks. Jane

Hi Jane and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. Since you did not mention a geographic location I am assmuing somewhere USA. For some reason the model is crossing to a Samsung Refrigerator and not an LG one. I am using RS2630SH as the model number and keep getting Samsung results.

Searching Samsung there is one filter here:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/subcategories/6117/4447/Samsung

LG there are 3 filters here:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/subcategories/6054/4447/LG

Here is something to think about.... Once you do install a new internal filter. I recommend installing an external in line filter. The are cheaper... and will make the internal filter last 5 - 6 times longer.

Is there a filter on the back of the refrigerator that the water line hooks to? I can't remember if all of them have one or not. It sounds like either your water line is clogged or the valve feeding the line might have been turned way down. I would turn the valve off, disconnect the hose from the refrigerator and put the end in a large bowl or bottle and have someone turn the water on to see if you have good flow through the line. Best of Luck

Tried to replace the filter and after that the upp

I don't think replacing the filter had anything to do with your problem.  If the ice maker is working then the freezer is OK since they have the same cooling source.  I had the same problem with this model refrigerator six months after I got it (in 2/2007).  The cooling in the refrigerator section failed.  The refrigerator fan and the air duct as well as the mother board were replaced.  A year later the ice-maker fan froze up. It and the housing were replaced with improved models.  The mother board was also replaced again due to software changes related to the ice maker.  This model is also part of an Energy Star/LG case agreement to modify the circuits and provide a lifetime annual rebate payment.  Check it out and register on the LG web site.

LG LRFD25850 French Door, Fix or Repair Daily

You are expereincing poor service. The techs that are working on your unit do not know what they are doing. There is no problem that can't be resolved on appliances. My suggestion to you is to find a really good LG tech in your area to repair this problem. There are only so many things that can cause these problems.
