rumor has it that some 96 xj, have these odd bags that have Special screws to defeat bags, Id get a real FSM and read that.

I have a '96 jeep cherokee xj, although there is plenty of water in the system, the coolant warning light stays on. Any ideas?

Look in the overflow reservoir, and some designs use low brake fluid indication using the same bulb, (which I really do not understand ...!) check both of those areas.
