My F38310 has fan running when plugged in, the on/off green light comes on when turned on, but no picture, menus, text or sound at all. Thinking that a problem existed with my DM1 board (the one to the left of the satellite box), I removed it and swapped it with the same board in a friends F38310. It worked perfectly in that TV. Any suggestions welcome. This has been my TV for nearly a decade, I really like it, and the problem occurred when two kids were watching TV in my absence. They no doubt pushed every button trying to get it to work again. Thx!
Try resetting the TV by pressing the Power and Channel Down buttons on the front panel simultaneously. This will put the TV back to the factory original settings so it may need adjusting afterwards (This will correct the issue if Contrast, volume and brightness are turned down to zero.) Check your cables or try a new one. When you pulled the board did you see/sense any obvious damage (soot, scorch marks, bulging capacitors, a smell of smoke)? Since the board is working, look closely at the cathode ray tube and the connections to that (flyback).
I hope this helps.
