Is there a new code to make the Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD/Recorder work with all regions? the code 29334 (region 1 USA) doesnt work for my unit. my email is [email protected] . thanks in advance Craig

Do the following step to make your DVD player region free..

1.Turn machine on without disc inside
2.Press menu button
3.Enter region code (See below for list)
4.A highlighted 'region area number' will appear in the upper left corner (some players)
5.Press 9 to change the region number to multi-regional
6.Turn DVD off (remove power from mains)

next time when u power on the DVD ,it will be region free.

region 1 - 29334
2 - 38767 or, 5 7 5 3 8
3 - 56732
4 - 76884
5 - 53814
6 - 24462

Press Open DVD door button
Power OFF and power ON

Press 9 to multi-region the machine
Turn machine off

I live in Australia and have two Samsung DVD/VCR player recorders, DVD-VR375 and DVD-VR355. I could only play Region 4 DVDs until I pressed DVD, with no DVD in the units, pressed Menu then 76884, then 9, inserted a Region 1 DVd and it played in both units.

By what I have researched the vr370 doesn't have much information on it by way of unlocking the system...I have the vr375 which is the modle able to record BOTH dvd and vcr formats. I changed my region 4 player a year ago, but had to have it repaired and lost the setting. I have, however, found what I used online, and it is now playing my region 1 discs again!

1/Turn machine on without disc inside
2/Press menu button
3/Enter your current region code (See below for list)
4/confirmation of the current 'region area number' will appear in the upper right corner of the TV screen (some players)
5/Press 9 to change the region number to multi-regional
6/Turn machine off
R1 - 29334

i have a samsung dvd player vr375. door keeps opening and closing for no reason, how do i fix this.

I have managed to get a solution to this now. I have a region 4 as in Australia so depending on where you are you'll need to try the correct region. It worked for me first time. Point 4/ below my region code appeared in the top right corner for a couple of seconds not the top left! Once you've completed below turn the machine on again and stick in one of the dvds that would not work before.
