Check you popup blocker settings. You may need to turn off popup blocker to access the site then turn back on when done with site.

to temporaryly disable a popup blocker hold down Ctrl key when pressing the link that will bring up a popup or while a page is loading that pops up a popup that you want to see just hit reload and hold down CTRL.

you can turn off th epopup blocker completly (not recommended) by going to Tools > Options > Under the Hood > Content settings... > Pop-ups

Do you have any ad-Blockers? what is your firewall? any popup blockers?
you may need to allow the website through your firewall if its not windows firewall
if you have windows Firewall then an ad blocker/popup blocker is blocking it, allow www.facebook.com through that or turn off your ad blocker/popup blocker

Before updating just disable Windows Firewall and popup blocker for a while, Go online and try to update, Should work fine :)

Navigate to your Internet Explorer

• Tools -> Pop-up blocker
• There you can 'Turn-off Pop-up Blocker' or 'Manage Pop-up Blocker as per your need.

i rang customer services - its somewere in the regestry, i dont know where but you can access the regestry with total commander
