Sharp R-1450 micro over range removal

Normally the outside shroud, has screws to remove, then microwave slides out. Be sure to unplug before trying to remove it.

It very well could be a blown fuse. I assume you checked power at the plug and checked the breaker. Also I assume and over the range micro. To get to the fuse you need remove the grille above the door then you should see a screw holding the control panel in place. Remove that screw and tip the panel out and you should see the fuse ( sometimes two) just inside the cabinet. remember to unplug or turn off the breaker before doing any repairs. you can goto - http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action - to find a parts breakdown and order parts. It is much easier for two people to remove the microhood. If attempting alone, please move the range out so you can get under the micro to support the weight. If the range stays in place, protect the top from damage.
1. make a landing site to the side, to protect the floor when putting the micro down after removal.
2. Disconnect the power cord in the cabinet above.
3. loosen the two screws in the bottom front corners of the cabinet above. When removed the front of the micro will drop, be ready for the weight. Busy times, tools in hands microwave coming down in front.
4. tilt the front down. pull the cord out of the upper cabinet.
5. with micro still tilted down in front, lift the back of the unit upward to free it from the wall plate.
6. remove the fasteners in the wall plate and remove.

the two long rectangular rod should slide down 1" to 1.5" unlocks the back plate and then it will slide forward and come off the wall.. hope it helps

The only problem that ricksterboy doesn't list, is there are also two screws located underneath as well. You have to take off the filter screens to find them. They secure into steel supports inside the microwave.
No getting the micro off the wall w/o removing them, or using a sledge hammer...which after all the time we used trying to get the thing off the wall, seemed like a good theraputic option.
Lucky we took off the vent cover and discovered the additional anchors.

Be sure to unplug first.
It is mounted on a steel bracket which the micro was tiled into place on. The bracket covers the entire area of the wall where the micro sits.

Basically, two screws in the bottom of the overhead cabinet, and two more screws located in the venting area of the microwave (under). Take the vent filter covers off each side, and remove one screw on each side carefully. If you take the fan cover off in the top front, you can see the steel support on the left.

Two people: The micro is then lifted up and off the support slightly, and then tilt forward to remove.

There is a considerable amount of weight to lower. It is an easier removal with the range pulled out and moved to the side. If you choose to move the range, be sure to protect the floor. Unplug the microwave. The plug should be in the cabinet above the range. There are two screws in the cabinet above that screw down into the top and support the front. These are the only fasteners that hold the machine directly. An assistant would be nice to have to help with the weight. While supporting the microwave, remove the two screws and slowly lower the front of the microwave pulling the cord out of the cabinet above as you go. Once the cord is free, tilt the machine down in front until the back can be lifted up off the plate that is fastened to the wall.

Look inside the cabinets to see if there are any screws, as they act as anchor support, in supplement to the mounting bracket at the back of the microwave which supports most of the weight.
