Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..
1. Open the back cover of your TV. 2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord.. 3.
After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is
bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors.. 4.
After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and
soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings
and value.. 5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
My TV surname off after 5-15 minutes of use. The red light in the front blinks once every 3 seconds continuously. If I hold the power button down on the tv, it will turn on and do the same thing.

Hi, 3 times LED blinks in Panasonic PT-47WX42 shows problem with convergence out chips failure as this tv has two big black ICs STK392-110 as convergence output, replace them to fix tv problem. Ballast failure is more that likley the problem. Is the lamp light blinking,...once every 5 seconds? Discontinued part and can only be purchased used or rebuilt. Rebuilt units are available, check Ebay. Have a service type person confirm problem before throwing good money after bad!
the blinking power indicator is actually a error code. How many times does it blink as I can assist you if you let me know how many times the led blinks
Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit, check T603 and R672.
How many blinks is it doing? It has a built in self diagnosis code that it will blink. Pause a second then blink again. Count the blinks then let me know.
