Well your yellow av cord could be faulty and you might need to buy a new set of av cords so that picture can be produced onto the screen. (The yellow av cord is the cord that produces pictures on the screen). =]

Thats the first place to look, If you are using the component cable with the HDTV TV switch, try flipping it back and forth.

if that corrects the problem great, but, it might be an idea to replace the cord at some point in the future

If it doesnt, i suspect you have another issue coming, if its under three years old, before it happens invest in the extended warranty

the av cords are proububly not connected properly to the tv. there might be somthing covering the controller conector recever. there might be somthing jamming the tray that the disks go on.

you have to select from the menu video rec not picture ...and the sound will apear after download on the pc ...or if you put teh card into a dvd..or if you connect it to a rca cord to a tv on AV mode...

contact microsoft and see if they can send u the right one ?

turn off xbox, unplug the av cord from back of xbox.. power up unit without av cord.. wait til unit shuts off by itself.. reattach the av cord and turn it on..

are you using a hd television?
-if so, then replug in your plugs into the television, and make sure that the av cable to the xbox360 console end, is switched to hd.

-if not, then recheck your plugs, check that the av cables to the xbox360 console is switched to tv.

and if this still does not all work, then, its mainly where you plugged in the video cables into the television. so my main advance to you is to recheck where you plugged the video cables.

I would check to see if the AV cord you have is set to HDTV or reg TV if you dont have a HDTV then your setting needs to be on TV.

Trying to use the HDTV will give you this issue where you here sound but no video.

The setting is on the neck where you plug it into the xbox360.
