My Fuji has started doing the same thing!
The only way I can get a reasonably exposed photo is to place a piece of white paper in front of the flash to act as a diffuser.
Any info you can find out would be appreciated...even if to know that this is a permanent situation.
Still takes GREAT outdoor and moon shots!

Camera makes overexposed pictures wiht lines can this be a software problem ?

Nope, this is a hardware problem and the camera needs to be worked on. Notice how your display works fine but the finished product exhibits the anomaly. The recording end is messed up.

A few pictures "whited out" now no flash at all.

There can be 2 issues that i would check first:
Check the exposure. The symptom described looks like a heavily overexposed photo. But the foto pn automatic and make a phot on the shade. Make sure the exsposure is not far right into ++.

Alternatively you can set the camera to automatic ( small camera icon on the dial) . If that solves it , the exposure was the issue

Also the White balance is something to check

Please let me know if this worked.

Hi I have a samsung digimax d53 and my son got ahold of it, now all the pictures seem over exposed says ISO of fifty on all of these cloudy ones. how Do I reset this? Thanks!!!

An ISO of 50 is very low and unlikely to cause overexposed pictures. Something else must be wrong. If you go into the camera menu, you should find "reset" to get back to factory defaults.

When I take a picture, then look at the LCD screen, all the white areas flash black then white. If I download the pictures everything is fine. Is something set wrong? Also for no reason the flash stopped...

The blinking indicates blown-out highlights. Those are the areas of your pictures that have been overexposed into pure white. This is generally considered a bad thing, and the correct fix in most cases is to reduce the exposure to bring back details. Losing details in the shadows is generally more acceptable. But this is just a warning: the camera doesn't know what effect you're trying for.

While viewing a picture, pressing up/down on the multiselector cycles through the different available views of the picture.

Overexposed picture

My guess is the the EV setting is on the + side and not neutral (0). Either that or Image Adjustment setting is wrong. Check EV by pressing the +/- button (right side near On/Off switch). Hold EV selector and make sure 0.0 is in the display. Let me know if that is not the problem and I'll assist you further.

I hope this helps!
