By installation Disk do you mean the CD/DVD-ROM? If yes
Check to see if the drive's LED flashes when the system is trying to boot. If it doesn't, open the system and make sure all the cables to the CD/DVD- ROM is properly connected and to the right slots. If the cables are properly connect and the CD/DVD- ROM is still not working replace the CD/DVD-ROM.
However, if its that the system could not install a particular program, make sure the installation files are complete and try again. If its a downloaded program, verify the completeness of the file downloaded and try reinstalling the program.
You can download the drivers from the Manufacturer Web Site. You do not mention what brand printer and which Operating System you have ie: Windows7, XP , Home Edition…
Go to the Manufacturer Web Site ie: Epson.com or hp.com etc, and choose your OS and download and install the drivers and software, then restart your computer.
The website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.
The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.
Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.
Most computers will have a wizard software. Follow these step to install printer:turn on computer,,& printer and hook up together click on "start "then go to 'setting", select " printer & fax, then go to adding----after that the wizard box will display you just follow the instruction to finish your installation.

Dear johnls,
Try to copy the installation CD to a flashdisk the run the installation from flashdisk when you connect it via USB jack on your netbook.
Or try to connect the external Optic Drive (CD/DVD ROM), wait until the netbook complete the installation of your optic drive. Restart your netbook with external CD ROM connected via USB jack, then run the 3G installation from your External CD ROM.
i have a Mustek 1200 UB plus scanner but unfortunatly i don't have the installation software cd-rom.can you advise me to where i may get this please. Many thanks
A CD-ROM would initially be required to create floppy installation disks. This option will require 6 disks for Windows 3.x, 9 for Win 95, 98 and NT or 8 disks for a Mac installation.
