hi sometimes the ringtones from mthe card will go to the phone memory but this is not the problem.
the ring tones are small in size.
each program have to be set card memory or phone memory.
the picture or video is the biggest memory "eating"
i think this is your broblem you have to move all your picture and videos to the card from the phone and than set the phone to use the card for picture and video.
Get a memory card reader, insert your memory in it. insert the the memory card reader on your computer.
Connect your phone with your computer, go to my computer and right click, open my computer, you will an icon or drive representing your phone and the your memory.
Right on your memory card, open, go to where you save the ring tones on the memory card and copy.
Right click on your phone drive and open, create a folder paste the selected ringtones there.
Safely eject your phone and memory card reader. Go to the folder you save the ringtones on your phone and select anyone you want to be using.
No, a SIM card cannot store ring-tones. It is only capable of holding your phone number and contact information. You would need to get a micro-SD memory card and download onto that OR directly onto the phones memory bank.
ringtones are stored to the phones internal memory not the memory card. check to make sure that your phone is set to save music, pictures, and video to the memory card, not the internal memory. then move any of those file types that are in the internal memory to the card. if you still don't have enough file space you will have to delete something to make room
Go to Menu, then under the "Settings & Tools" section, choose option 8 (Memory). Choose option 2 (Phone Memory), then option 1 (Phone Memory Usage). This will tell you the available MB on your phone.
Or, go to Memory, choose option 3 (Card Memory), then Card Memory Usage.
If you have 0MB left on both, then you will need to delete some ringtones, wallpaper, music, etc. to clear up some space.
If you still have room, you will have to take the phone to a Verizon store. More than likely if this is the case, the phone has a glitch in the downloading. You may of downloaded a virus while downloading music/ringtones/wallpaper.
in motorola v3 razr ringtones get downloaded in the phone memory and doesnot go to the card memory . so you need to switch the memory to the phone memory and then you will be able to see that ringtone. once you move that ringtone to the card memory and then you can assign the ringtone also .
If you want ot assign the ringtone to some particular contact then it should be in the phone memory then only it wil pick up that not from the card .

hi, do you have an extra mem card in the phone if you have then move some data to this as the phone dont use the memory on card unless you put stuff their yourself, so the phone will say mem full even if memory card is empty so try this first. 1. delete any messages in inbox/outbox/sent messages as these will take up mem 2. delete any old phone numbers/pictures/screen savers that you dont use. 3. the best way to free up loads of memory is by deleting all of the free ringtones you got with the phone most of the free ones you will never use so i deleted all of these and just kept the ringtones i used most people never use the free ones you get when buying the phone so doing this will free up loads of room. Also delete any ringtones you have put on their that you never use as the music ringtones can use loads of mem alot more than the standard tones. 4. every time you send a message your phone stores them in sent messages so delete all of these. Once you have done all of this you will find you have loads of free memory. The best thing to do if you have a memory card in your phone is move all the music/music ringtones that you want to keep onto the card doing this means you can still use the ringtones and free up loads of the phones memory. The phone dont take the mem card into acount when its telling you mem full ok so put as much on mem card as you can ok. Let me know how you get on and also if you need further assistance ok
