Power problem Unplugged tv for the week I was away on vacation. I returned and plugged set back in. Green power/timer LED flashed rapidly for about a minute as it usually does when power is restored. Now the TV does not power up. No LED, nada. Zilch. Unplugged then plugged back in after a few minutes, same thing happens. Pressed system reset in with paperclip, same results as unplugging and plugging back in. The set is five years old. Is this a power supply problem? Thanks! Sigdigit

I fixed it! Before I received your possible solution, I read another HDTV forum suggestion that due to possible switch "bleed", try running your finger back and forth along the row of buttons on the front of the tv several times. I did so figuring this was just a buch of mumbo jumbo and guess what? It worked! After my second pass of sweeping the buttons, the power kicked on and it has been working properly ever since. Beats the hell out taking the set apart! Thanks anyway Dan.

The tv wont turn on i unplugged it for a week tried system reset button still wont work green light keeps flashing rapidly any solutions

First problem: Unable to adjust volume. Second problem: The Set-Up menu would appear suddenly on the screen during a TV program. Third problem: Unable to turn off TV with and without remote. I was only able to turn off TV by pushing the Reset Button. TV was unpluged for 15 minutes. The green flashing light appears for about a minute after re-plugging power to the TV. Unable to turn on TV with and without remote. About 6 months ago I had a convergence problem which was repaired for $480 by an authorized Mitsubishi Repair Service. What do think is the problem now?

Most likely the convergence ICs are bad. These aare large black ICs attached to a heatsink. They will be marked STK393-110 and have about 15 pins or so. Replace these and check the fuses marked F9A01- F9A06 on the same board. Replace any open fuses after the IC replacement and report your results here.

Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

unplug, hold power button, plug in. If that doesn't work, unplug all the HDMI cables, unplug the power, hold power button, plug back in.

Mitsubishi WD-48511 Flashing green power light

The green light should only blink if set has been unplugged---upon plugging it back it will blink for about 70 seconds and go out----this is the set booting up and is normal.

At that point you should be able to turn the set on-----what happens when you try?

Flashing red light . i have unplugged and plugged back in green light comes on then goes away and red light returns and flashes. i have had the tv 2 yrs to the day almost. what do i do

When the led flashes a certain number of times it tells the technician what circuit is at fault causing a problem resulting in total shutdown. There are no secret codes or methods to get your tv back up and running without having it repaired "SORRY". On Philips models a 7 flash window indicates an under voltage within your power supply circuit. This means there's a Op-Amplifier, high wattage resister, Power-IC, Diode, or NPN-PNP transistor that has developed an internal defect and needs to be replaced. Keep in mind that these TV's produce alot of heat and so the components on the circuit board are prone to thermal breakdown over time. I can show how to fix this problem if your willing to cooperate with me and follow some steps.

Your tv will not work again unless its opened and serviced! Period.

FAST BLINKING GREEN & WON'T POWER ON

I had exactly this problem. After plugging and unplugging it multiple times over several weeks (even plugging it in quickly after it was unplugged but with the green light still flashing as suggested here) all to no avail, it just started working on its own one day. It worked for a few weeks and then the problem re-appeared.

InFocus tech support recommended:
1. Check whether the lamp door is securely closed.
2. Check the color of the LED and the number of time it blinks. (For me, a very fast almost flickering flash)
3. Does the fan operate? (My fan would go on when plugged in)
4. Remove the lamp module, shake it gently and reseat the lamp module.

For me, these steps did not work. InFocus then recommended that I send it to ProjectorDoctor http://online.projectordoctor.com/, and it was diagnosed with a bad power supply. $395, but it is fully functional again. Good luck.........

LG LCD TV Standby Light Flashing Red Continuously

I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.
