Question about Goldstar KG6000R Window Air Conditioner
After a recent rain storm, our air conditioner "tripped" and would not reset even after pressing the "reset" button on plug. This happened once before and we left it unplugged for quite some time, eventually trying the air conditioner again before planning to take it out of the window. That time it seemed to reset itself and work again until this recent rain storm. What can we to reset it this time?
If you're trying to reset it right after it trips, you're not giving it enough time for the pressures to equal out.
Also, try again, unplugging it from the wall and waiting about 20 minutes before plugging it back in.
If it got a good surge from the storm, it may have grounded out the compressor.
