F 01 is a bad control board, you dont reset, replace board

I have the manual for the Kenwood HE3t. It says nothing about e1, but for F4 thru F16 it says to press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle then start again. If the problem remains try asking at RepairClinic.com, press the "Repair Help" tab.

unplug for a minute and see if it resets the cpu.

That is odd......I have checked all my service literature and cannot find an error code F/01. It jumps right over that one. Sure sounds like the CCU.....We have replaced this control many times over the years for symptoms similar to yours. This is the brain of your machine and tells everything when to do what......Last attempt.....leave it unplugged over night and see if this allows the capacitors to drain and reset he control.
Please let me know what you find but it looks like it is the CCU.

* Reconnect the unit to the power source by turning the breaker back on or plugging the unit back into the wall outlet.

* Start a short cycle to check the operation of the machine by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the machine starts.

it stands for longer than normal drain interval,press "pause/cancel" twice to clear, if it returns then look for obstructions in the water drain from the basket all the way to the drain in the house,or possibly it could be a bad washer drain pump
